Everything. Entertainment is for pleasure. Art is not really meant for pleasure but for communicating a higher message. However, art makes us uncomfortable, and at times it reinforces our thoughts. Therefore, it is not meant to consume entertainment.
Normally, I do not see any differences between them. Why?
Entertainment is normally recognized as a way to describe to please people through music, movies, books. Comedies are a way to entertain. Entertainment is about getting responses from people while art is considered to be more within.
But in my opinion, entertainment can be internal too. It is a personal thought turned into a song, like the hit song. In this case, entertainment has the exact same meaning as art.
However, on the other hand, art and entertainment are two different things when some pieces of works seem to focus on a single purpose. For example, the worst comedy of the year. Will it entertain you? Perhaps. But is it art? Not at all.
Have you ever read a book that you swear you will never understand? Well, the author does! But, if he explains while providing a difficult way for most to perceive, I think they will call it art. Critics agree.
