The Scary Reality Of Joint Degeneration is one of my biggest worries in how our pets will cope with getting older. From aches and pains, to loosing their eye sight , they have a lot to contend with as the years go by.
One of the most common health problems facing dogs as they age, is joint degeneration. 20% of all adult dogs suffer from arthritis to approximately 65% when they are over the age of 7. So if you have noticed your pet is having diffculty walking or moving, you are not alone.

Joint degeneration is not only painful for your pet, but it can bring them down especially to their health. When your pet is in pain, their activity level decreases, and that means your dog will more than likely gain weight. Which of course adds to the strain, and pain, and everything that comes along with that.
Obesity is a major concern. But, heart disease, diabetes and skin infections can all occur once your dog has joint degeneration. All of that can be very traumatic to your dog. Not to mention the cost.
